High-Quality Material
FlowMax Gold vacuum tubing is produced only from 100% virgin PVC material. We use no recycled material or ground-up plastic of any type in FlowMax Gold vacuum tubing. This recycled material basically comes from discarded plastic products or scrap that is gathered together, ground up, reheated, and re-extruded into vacuum pipe. Scrap material typically varies from lot to lot depending on what has been ground up. The nature of scrap makes it hard to keep out foreign materials. Because of this, reused plastic often contains foreign materials like metal, stone or other non-PVC plastic materials that can cause poor glue adhesion, holes, tears, rough inside surfaces, inconsistent wall thicknesses, out-of-spec diameters, or easily cracked pipe.

Don't Blame the Cement
If you've ever had a vacuum pipe joint leak or had a joint come completely apart, it may be the fault of the pipe. PVC cement works by "melting" the PVC in the pipe and fittings, but it isn't formulated to "melt" any of the foreign materials like metal, stone, or other non-PVC plastic materials that may end up in the pipe. Because we use only 100% pure virgin PVC and have no foreign materials, our entire vacuum pipe surface is working to lock and seal the pipe to the fittings. Also, if your vacuum pipe is undersized in outside diameter, an oversized gap is formed between the pipe and fitting. Since PVC cement is not designed to bridge oversized gaps, the joint quality is compromised. Because of the tight outside diameter control on our FlowMax Gold vacuum pipe, you consistently get the optimum glue gap for a tight joint.
